LONDON 

International aviation companies signed a series of new cooperation and order agreements at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK. 

Korean Air will purchase 50 wide-body aircraft with high fuel efficiency from Boeing.

Qatar Airways ordered 20 more 777-9 aircraft under the existing Boeing 777X aircraft program, bringing the total number of aircraft to 94.

Boeing and Japan Airlines (JAL) also signed an agreement for the order of 20 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

In another of Boeing's order deal at the show, Macquire AirFinance announced it will purchase 20 737 MAX aircraft in its first direct order deal.

Airbus received an order for seven A330-900s from UK-based Virgin Atlantic.

Libya's airline Berniq Airways also ordered six A320 aircraft from Airbus.

Moreover, Siemens and BAE Systems announced a 5-year collaboration for innovation in engineering and manufacturing technologies.
