The Turkish government has ratified separate agreements with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the country's Official Gazette said Wednesday.

A decision to extend a 1999 agreement between Turkey and the UN agency has been ratified, said the state paper of record.

Under the decision, the validity of an agreement between Turkey and UNIDO on establishing a center in Turkey for regional cooperation will be extended for five years as of Feb. 15, 2020.

A loan agreement between Turkey and the TRNC signed on June 24 has also been ratified, the Official Gazette said.

Under the agreement, Turkey is expected to provide a loan of $500 million to the TRNC.
