Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 9,686.89 points, a marginal rise of 0.1% or 1.40 points from the previous close.

On Friday, the BIST 100 index gained 1.73% to 9,685.49 points, with a daily transaction volume of 79.8 billion liras ($2.35 billion)

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 33.9398 as of 10.04 a.m. (0704GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.7384, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.7063.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,611.70, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $71.94 per barrel.
