Türkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened on Tuesday at 10,756.17 points, up 0.21% or 22.42 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 index fell by 1.45% to 10,733.75 points, with a daily transaction volume of 87 billion Turkish liras ($2.65 billion).

As of 09.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.0890. The EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.8390, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.5350.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,390.28, and Brent crude oil was trading at around $78.60 per barrel.
