Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 9,537.20 points, marking an increase of 0.17% or 16.16 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 index was up by 1.08% to 9,521.04 points, with a daily transaction volume of 88 billion Turkish liras ($2.60 billion).

As of 10.30 a.m. (0730GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.9787, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.6590, while the GBP/TRY rate was 44.6450.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,566.80, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $71.95 per barrel.
